a comment on Plastic Pollution.

Would it help our environment if we encourage smokers to carry a small tin for the purpose of containing used cigarette butts? When convenient they could be binned. I notice a lot of people that dump the butts in the street that will ultimately end up with them washed into a water way. I am not having a crack at smokers as I am keen to support people making decisions. I am also not having a swipe at the plastics industry as there are many other initiatives to reduce the amount of single use plastic that ends up in our environment. I just want a small step to encourage smokers to think to Tin It Then Bin It, maybe even get a hashtag to trend like #TinItThenBinIt
