When the fascination with being Rick Rolled began it resonated as two tonal frequencies within me – one of pure comedy and the other melancholic. Sure it is funny just like the awkward worship of ‘the Hoff’ in the Ops Room of many warships. The melancholy comes from the lack of justifiable fanfare for our achievements in life. The other suitable candidates I have shown above all perhaps have excelled in their field but not got the recognition they certainly earned; some even had there psyche assassinated over the results of the work. This leads to the infinite sadness of being forgotten, being set aside and silently surviving the chaos when many you tried to protect were lost. Now sat in a golden cage as every vital breath you take struggles for justification in repetition and your sense of smell is dull like the chains you rest with. The shuffling sound of letters to seal a fate.

I was trying to explain to a friend my opinion that music is easier to classify into genre by defining the food that matches the music; here is a sample list from that conversation…

Rock music is valued with Beer, Scotch and Burgers.
Electronic music is for the Latte and Cronut set.
Yacht Rock is specifically made for the Martini and Canapes menu, no other food items are allowed.
Soul music/R&B is supported by Sour Mash Bourbon and BBQ.
Funk is an offshoot of Soul music specifically mastered by James Brown.
Smooth Jazz is a Wine and Cheese night; Trad Jazz is bootleg booze.
Swing music is accompanied by small batch Gin Cocktails.
Ribs, Peanuts and Beer drive Country music.
Western Music is for Country Music fans ‘on the wagon’
Folk Music conjures up Mead, Elderberry Wine and Point Sandwiches.
Latin Music is accompanied by Cachaca.
A good slow curry and Mango Lasi helps identify the complex beats in Indian Music.
Bagpipes and Drums with Haggis, Potatoes and Single Malt Highland Scotch Whiskey.
Sweet pastries, Strong coffee and a shisha are common in the Middle East.
Dragon Boat drums accompany dumplings and noodles.
Champagne and Caviar prompt Classical Music and could be avoided.
Reggae is often associated with Smoked Herbs.
Pop music is accompanied by Breezers and chips.
Hip hop music is supported by bottled water.
Rap Music goes well with Mom’s Spaghetti.
The Polka is defined with Goulash, Potato Dumplings and Pilsner.
Egg Nog and cake support Christmas Carols.
Greek Music on the Balalaiki goes well with Ouzo, Lamb and Dolmades .
